Jarod May

Jarod discovered the GYROTONIC modality while recovering from a lower back injury he sustained from a climbing accident.  He has a degree in business from Wichita State University. Jarod’s interests include outdoor sports, mountain climbing and hiking. He is also an avid potter and artist.

Kayla Potter - Hiemenz

Kayla is General Manager of Core Strength Wichita.
She began taking Pilates after working closely with a studio for a year, and decided to become a licensed GYROTONIC© instructor. Kayla was instrumental in opening Core Strength Wichita in June of 2011.

Abigail Anderson


Abigail was introduced to Pilates in 2007 after suffering a hip and lower back injury resulting from an incident while horseback riding. After trying many conventional treatments for her injuries, it was Pilates that gave her the most pain relief and the ability to maintain an active lifestyle. As an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, Abigail is passionate about living life to the fullest. Utilizing her Pilates knowledge, she is dedicated to helping others move freely, with a focus on balance and strength so they can do what they love in life.

Devan Lysen

She realized the power of the Pilates while she was working as a soft tissue specialist, and was unable to advance certain patients due to imbalances of strength, weakness, and tightness within the body.  She would refer them to Pilates lessons and would see the difference. With a background in exercise science, nutrition, and chiropractic it is her life’s mission to help people reach balance and alignment in all aspects of life.
